Christmas Giving Tree
"Tags are put on the trees near the beginning of October. Individuals are asked to take a tag, shop, wrap, and return the items by the due date. Volunteers then gather to sort the needed items of clothing and a personal Christmas gift and share the love of the season." The items are for East Valley children. This is a great opportunity to participate in the corporal works of mercy.
Back-to-School
"This annual event usually begins near the end of June when needs tags are put on the trees. Individuals are asked to take a tag, shop and return the items by the due date. Volunteers then gather to sort the much needed clothing and school supply items, which will help children to start their new year well."
Easter Bags
" Easter preparations stretch through the Lenten season, similar to Christmas time. Over 3,000 bags are filled with religious items, a small toy and other treats. We try to include a little something for the body, mind and soul. Volunteering prepares the heart for Easter."
Christmas Stockings
" October starts the Christmas Stocking season, with orders of bulk purchases, meeting with businesses for discount and donation partnerships. Tags are included on the trees for needed items. Early in December volunteers gather to fill the stockings. The approx. 4,000 children served are from the Central & South Phoenix and East Valley areas. Christmas bags are also given to 700 homeless men and women from the East Valley Men' s Shelter and the Andre House in Phoenix."
